on recieving a complaint about dacoity the officer in charge of police station proceeds to the spot.the complaint was telegraph message informing the police about the commission of the offence.after reaching the spot the police officer starts investigation and recieves another statement in the course of that investigation.the question is which one of the statements amounts to fir.which is the section dat deals with this in crpc?

this is section 154 of CrPC which deals with FIR...n the telegraphic message shall be the FIR..further subsequent message shall amount to information only..

If police has registered the fir and commenced investigation then subsequent report will hit by section 162 cr.p.c.
