Legally married definition

In India, among Hindus, two persons, male and female, are legally married until their claim is successfully challenged. Such a challenge includes asking the persons to produce evidence that they are legally married. The list of such evidences are too exhaustive to list them here. Whether such evidence can be accepted will very much depend on the jusges.
