Registration of amended trust deed

Dear Sirs- An educational trust in Karnataka founded in 1936 was registered with The Assistant Charity Commissioner in 1952 under The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. This act was repealed by Govt of Karnataka about 15 years and no new act has been enforced till today to register educational trusts. The board of trustees for the safety of the trust, re registered the trust in 2016 under The Indian Trusts Act, 1882 with the jurisdictional sub registrar. In january this year, the board of trustees carried out certain amendments to certain provisions of the registered trust by way of resolutions. The question that has arisen for the trustees is whether the amendments carried out require to be compulsorily registered again with the jurisdictional sub registrar. We seek the valuable guidance of the forum.

1. Each & Every related amendments of the Trust, needs to be appended and approved by stamp & sign, by the registering authority, for it to be legally enforceable, at times of disputes.

Thank you Sir. The post of Charity Commissioner has been abolished in our state by virtue of repeal of The Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950. So we reregistered our trust afresh under The Indian Trusts Act, 1882.
