Minimum age is 18 years in india . For any other disqualification refer to the Motor Vehicle law.

There is no minimum age to OWN a vehicle, however you need to have attained majority (18 years) to be able to get a licence to DRIVE a vehicle.

Owning a vehicle and driving a vehicle are two different things. To own a vehicle or anything else there is no upper or lower age limit. But to drive a motorised vehicle one has to be above 18. In some places vehicle without gear can be ridden by persons above 16.
