Can anybody please tell about the power to levy VAT of Haryana & Punjab governemnts in chandigarh???
Since Chandigarh is a union territory...
neither of the two gets the power
and only Union has the power to levy VAT????
(with specific entry no. of constitution etc. would be a preffered answer)

The governor of chandigarh has power to to levy vat on chandigarh.

So,
has chandigarh ben granted the status of partial statehood???
and i think on his own can't levy taxes, since ours is a democracy...n only things passed in the parliament or legislative assembly can be applied.......
also union territories do not have governors they have lieut. general..
