SHIRISH PAWAR, 7738990900 (Advocate) 10 October 2021
Hello,
Wife will not have any rights on the property of husband during his life. In your case property is in the name of mother so there is no question of wife's claim over property.
Advocate Bhartesh goyal (advocate) 10 October 2021
No, wife has no right to claim ownership rights over the property of her husband's mother during her husband's lifetime on basis of that her husband has taken housing loan on property.
kavksatyanarayana (subregistrar/supdt.(retired)) 10 October 2021
Yes. Agreed with the advice of the above learned experts.
Dr J C Vashista (Advocate) 11 October 2021
As a co-borrower with mother the husband can not be termed as titleholder (owner) of the property therefore, wife has no right, claim or interest in the house owned by her mother-in-law.
M V Gupta (Advocate) 11 October 2021
Agree with the expert's opinion. By joining in the borrowing for the construction of the house, the husband does not get any right, title, or interest in the property. As such the wife does not get any rights over the property either during the lifetime or after the death of the husband.
