A appointed B his sevant and lateron one day he asked him to recover the loan from C. B's salary was in arrears and therefore B after recovering loan, adjusted it towards his salary.
whether B has comitted offence u/s 408? whether he may retain such money lawfully?

It is an offence, It is his duty to recover the money but not to adjust to his salary .
