Criminal or civil writ jurisdiction

1. For quashing criminal proceeding/FIR, you can file a petition in the High Court u/s.482 Cr.P.C.

2. You cannot file writ petition for mandamus, etc., for that purpose.

Sir, In the alternate form mandanmus can be filed for transfer to its jursidiction...In case mandanmus under writ Jurisdiction is to be invoked then whether it will fall under criminal or civil jurisdiction??
