There is no need to show your birth certificate to passport authorities. Your matriculation certificate itself equals to birth certificate. They demand one of three certificates as "Birth certificate" proof.

1. Original Birth certificate issued by municipal authorities.

2. Matriculation Certificate.

3. Annexure "A" duly attested by Notary Public.

You can check the details at : www.passportindia.gov.in

If you attach the birth certificate and the papers shows difference as you have told, they definately, they will ask to you for the necessary correction.

So I advise to you not to attach your Birth certificate, because you have to submit matriculation certificate for your educational qualification also.

Thanks for your reply.

But as passport Rules Birth certificate is mandatoty for those who born after 21/01/1989. I asked customer care people.

Is there any way to change D.O.B in birth certificate?.

Thanks,

Anil Kumar

I think it is not possible to change birth date in your birth certificate.
