Daughter in law's rights

Daughter in law's right on father in law's property after his death.

I have two questions 1 if the Will is not made what are my rights on my father in law's property after his sudden death.       if the wiil is made what are my rights on the property if my husband is inheriting along with brother. There are four houses.d divorce case is in going on and I have filled DV act as he has thrown me and my child from the matrimonial house and not allowing to stay in my house jointly owned by both of us .EMi payment is going on done by my husband.he has kept tenants in the house so that I have to leave the house.

1.If your FIL died intestate, and if properties all self aquired all his children and wife have equal shares.  Your child may get the share in his father's property.

If the will is made, this has to be distributed as per wishes of  your FIL, and if it is self acquired you no one is  entitled to claim any rights for those properties not given by FIL.

The payment of EMI confirms that the property is self acquired by your husband.

Better consult your advocate who is dealing your DV matter.

Wife has no forced share in  laws, husband's property.

In laws, husband ( i.e owners) are at liberty to dispose in thier life time as it pleases to the owners.

Discuss with your own lawyer.
