Death claim settlement to nominees of p.o. - mis/nsc

1 of the 2 adult nominees in a Postal MIS/ NSC dies, whether claim to be settled in favour of the surviving nominee? What should be the procedure?

If no one objects then surviving nominee becomes sole.if death nominees lrs object then they. have to approach civil court and to obtain succession certificate.
