Declaring mother name as initial

Hi There, can any one help me to understand if mother name alone is enough to give initial for the child, will that affect kid future legally??? for example: consider baby name is Asha and mother name is Gowri , if we give the baby name as G.Asha in birth certificate will that affect child future interms of any like passport applying, educational certificates etc;???

As per the present situation, the child can have its initial of either of the parent or can combine the initials of both the parents. There will be no problem, atleast legally, anytime in the future in this regard.

Hi,Is it possible to change the father's name of a kid in birth certificate after divorce of parents? The kid staying with the mother,is it possible to change the father's name?
