Defamation

1. What is the time limit for filing Criminal defamation case? 2. Can this fact of time bar be raised during final arguments after evidence is complete?

If a case is ongoing, then wait for result of the case, based on that think of filing defamation case. If case is already over and 2 years lapsed, you cant file defamation. But it is not beneficial to file defamation, as penalty awarded will be less than money spent on Lawyer fees.
