Derogatory remarks in writing

While replying to the TI in a Civil Suit, the defendant makes derogatory remarks in writing in the court.

What is the remedy available to the plaintiff?

Can he sue for defamation or any other injury?

If  the truth of the remarks were necessarily  constituted adefence to the legal action , and is a bonafide one ,it may be saved  from action of libel otherwise the defendent may be liable and can be sued and or prosecuted for slander and recovery  of damages.

By the way Shantilalji

I wish to tell you that far from bhaving any bearing to the truth, the remarks are wild and ill concieved & totally uncalled for

They accuse the plaintiff of extorting money from the defendent & other Public

my posting made earlier is self explanatory   it should also be bonafide ,...regarding taking action a suit for damages for tort can be filed .
