Division of ancestral property in u.p.

Hi Experts

I have a question

a)after new law for division of property after 2004 ,new legislation,

I have been told that in UTTAR PRADESH residential property is equally divided among brothers and

sisters if father dies intestage and agriculture property is divided among sons only,

Pl clarify if it is true to UP.

All properties whether it be agricultural or residential as long as it is ancestral goes equally to sons and daughters provided there has not been a a legal parition before 20.12.2004.
