even after serving a notice you are not appearing before the court then the court will proceed you as an ex-parte,
there is no way to stop this case, but you can contest this case by appearing before the court
rather than wasting a time consult a local lawyer.

You can file your written statement online, you must be having the case details and number, monitor the proceedings, once the exparte proceedings are initiated just file application for setting aside the same. What is the case number, which court and location? Reason for divorce ?

The court can proceed ex-parte if the opposite party does not appear. So far, this has not happened. You should appoint an advocate and contest the matter. Even if set, ex-parte, your advocate can take care.
