Driver B is bribed to own up the accident done by Driver A

Sirs, Lorry Driver A accidents in which a pedestrian dies. He flees after the accident. The owner of lorry bribes a poor person also a driver to own up the crime. In 164 statement before magistrate is recorded on dictation of a private lawyer where the set up accused admits his crime. Charges have been framed. Now the setup accused repents. What action a lawyer should take.

Also get the alibi for the substitute driver and the purpose behind the conspiracy, as that helps him in coming out from this serious case, and may be he has to face some other criminal case for misleading the police and filing incorrect statements to conceal a fact and protect the criminal.
