Replace the word .... Force with LOVE. Everything should be done in LOVE.

Is it a legal query?  There are no rules for husband and wife or unmarried ones.  But there are ethics and better understandings between any relation.  If any relation is very exemplory then it is the best understanding between that relation.

Have maturity, and learn things of family values and co-existence from your mother or mother in law.  There are no laid down laws on values, principles while living with husband and it is compromises, understanding , minor adjustments for happy life.
