DV case disposal

Respected Seniors,

how to dismiss the DV case is if the petitioner is not coming to the case and avoiding the cross examination from the last 8 months. any provision is there for quick disposal of DV case like in A MONTH OR TWO.The dv case is running on interim close to 5 years without DIR and evidence and op counsel he is vesting the time by giving vague reasons. pleases guide.
