I submitted RTI application in Nov 09 before CPIO/NR/Lucknow, requesting to open the file, dealing my representations reg withheld dues etc., for my inspection. There was no reply. I preferred 1st appeal before the AA/NR/Lucknow. There was no reply. I approached the Hon'ble CIC, New Delhi with my 2nd appeal, who were pleased to order that the CPIO should furnish the sought information and submit explanation as to why fine should not be imposed for not giving the information. The order was not complied with, which I reported to the Hon'ble CIC. The Commission held a hearing on 19.5.11, where the CPIO submitted that some dues had been paid and THEY WERE working to ascertain the remaining-a totally false COCK & BULL STORY. I may tell that the matter is pending in High Court for the dues of 1993 and even 85-87. However, the Hon'ble CIC passed order once again as the earlier one. The order is 2 b complied with by the 10th instant, which has not been done till today and I do not hope it to b complied with in the next 28 hrs.
Similarly, in an other case, which was heard on 3.8.10, the CPIO/NR/Lucknow had given a false statement telling the commission that the requested information cud't b given as the record had been weeded out and added that the fact of weeding had been earlier told through an affidavit in 1995. The Hon'ble Commission had ordered to supply a copy of the said Affidavit, but the order has not been complied with.
Question is how the RTI act may b enforced?
