Probably NO.
It is for social security of the employees.
The ESIC is in fact beneficial for both employer and employee.

If an employer is providing similar or superior benefits than those provided under ESI to all his employees including then the employer may be eligible for exemption (CHAPTER VIII:Sec87)…
You may compare the benefits. We are not aware any mediclaim/health insurance that offers substantially similar or superior benefits.
An application in the prescribed format is to be made for such exemption to be granted by the Government. Before granting exemption inspection may be carried out.
The exemption may be given for not exceeding 1 year at a time.
