Ex partee ?

My case has been dragging for more than two years. Wife filed for divorce on cruelty grounds & maintenance under CRPC 125. (No DV or 498) :) The cross started in May in front of a commission. After two sessions she is not appearing al all. Three consecutive times she has not appeared in a span of one and a half months. Can I appeal through my council for ex-party declaration? How long should I wait? My Advocate is not clear about, it seems. Kindly advise.
