My grandfather owned land located in Mangaluru (Karnataka).
On my grandfather’s demise, my father and his siblings inherited the same. The land records jointly show their names and the land has not been subdivided yet. My father passed away a year back, and now his siblings want to dispose of the land.
They have requested us to obtain a family tree certificate to show me and my siblings, as the surviving family members of my father.
My father till his demise resided in Mumbai. His identity documents show a Mumbai address.
- Where can I obtain the family tree certificate?
- My father also owned a house in Mumbai. Would the same family tree certificate be valid in the two states. i.e., Maharashtra and Karnataka?
- what is the next steps after I obtain the family tree certificates. Does me and my siblings names get entered on the land records?
