Getting a fir through rti and then getting threatened

My Uncle got arrested in 2018 for doing some fraud with some third person. Now in 2020 I filed a RTI with the police to get the copy of the FIF under which he was arrested. Now my uncle from some sources came to know that I filed an RTI to get the FIR and the same has been sent to me. Now he indirectly through people is threatening that he will file a case against me. Can he file any type of case against me ? Please tell and help.

Seeking information is a right given by the Right to Information Act.   There is no law that can punish any individual for using such rights given by him through statute.  You need not worry about such threats and ignore such threats.   Further, under RTI, all processes should be as stipulated under RTI Act and there is no process for the involvement of a third party or any action against citizen was stated in RTI Act for seeking a copy of the public document which is uploaded and in the public domain.

Yes, it is an empty threat.
