Government Employee commits suicide due to work pressure

Hello,

I need some legal advice from a lawyer regarding a suicude case of a Government Employee. My father was a Central Government Employee.HE commited suicide few days ago.As per our understanding and his discussions with us he always mentioned he is under immense work pressure. He was a safety officer and has to look after the work to manage safety parameters, also he has to look after the Enviormental pollution control of factory. He was often threatened by his seniors that if the Enviomental pollution control is not followed properly he may face job termination as well as imprisionment as per the Enviormental Pollution act 1986.He worked with his full dedication but there some things which were not in his hands. So he was under very much pressure of work.He left a suicide note which mentions that nobody is responsible for his act but he also mentioned that he was very much concerned that due to some of the Factory work he may face termination as well as imprisonment.

My father worked in one of the Ordanace Factory under Ministery of Defence.

Please help me out and guide if there could be any way out to get the people punished who made him to commit suicide.

My father was an Electrical Engineer and he was posted as an electrical Safety Officer. But managment made him to work on the responsiblty of Enviormental Control too.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

If admissible you may obtain copy of his personnel file.

Kindly check if your father has maintained the copies of communications, during the course of his employment.

If he was given any adittional charge then was it by an office order in writing or verbally.

Were their any show cause notices, charge sheets , offending communications issued to him.

has he ever written to the management that pollution contorle work should be handled by an employee having suitable qualifications and training or he should be granted suitable training to handle adittional work.

Shall his colleagues in office  confirm to any undue pressures on him.

A lawyer/law firm can take a qualified opinion based on all records.
