Yes,either the husband or the wife can claim alimony after divorce according to their financial status at the time of divorce.

Yes she can clim maintenance or one time alimony from her ex husband any time till she gets married herself again.
However, her no demand at the time of divorce will have weight in your favour at the time of trial for the petition of the demand of Alimony or regular maintenance.

Post Divorce petition u/s 18 of Hindu Adoptions and Maintenance Act is not maintainable.

However a divorced wife can claim maintenance or alimony from her ex- husband u/s 125 CrPC and or Sec 25 HMA.
