I live in Gurgaon and want to file case in consumer court in Nashik and Gaziabad by post.
Can case be filed by post?
Case should be on plain paper or stamp paper? If on stamp paper, then how much value?

First find out as to whether you are a consumer or not, as you might have availed these services for your business and not as an individual. Consumer case can also be filed through post. The first thing one has to do is to purchase a Book on consumer Act which costs around Rs.60/-. The complaint can be filed on plain paper, and complaint should be accompanied by fee which is nominal. The fee can be remitted by means of demand draft in the name of the President. There is a scope for filing case even from your place after amendment. Contact any social worker or Consumer Act Activist. There are several forums in and around Gurgaon. You can as well walk in to your Gurgaon District Consumer forum and take their guidance.
