{Balu manikantan} SUBRAMANYAM (Practising Advocate)     05 August 2020

Drt"s are a created to protect the interest of the banks. Almost all the orders in DRT are in favour of banks. Only as principle of natural justice a chance is given for you reply. you may get a short term stay on the DRT order and your counsel may drag the matter for few additional months. And do not expect much.

Dr J C Vashista (Advocate)     06 August 2020

What are facts of case ?

How much is the amount involved in recovery by Bank/ financial institution ?

One line question paper will be of no use/ help for you.

SIVARAMAPRASAD KAPPAGANTU (Retired Manager)     06 August 2020

Please do contact the Bank/s concerned and get the matter sorted out by making payment and discussing with them for a one-time settlement. One time settlement is not a matter right for the borrower but normally banks tend to accept such genuine one-time settlement requests. There is no point in prolonging the case. As much prolonged that much interest gets added to the existing liability.  Expert Subramanya has already explained that DRT cases are to protect the interest of the Banks and in almost all cases, the judgement is in favour of Bank only.

Dr J C Vashista (Advocate)     07 August 2020

Generally DRT do not grant any stay order to a respondent.

P. Venu (Advocate)     07 August 2020

What are the facts? What is the context?
