I am serving in the army. in Sep 2011 I gave an authority letter to a property dealer to rent out my flat in Panchkula since I was posted in the East. The property dealer rented out the apartment to a tenant without carrying out the neccessary paper work including a lease agreement in Oct 2012. I have not received any rent till date. the tenant when contacted offered to pay a rent which is 2/3rd of the market rate. he also expects me to pay the society charges for monthly maintenance. there is no written agreement with the tenant. the only written document is my authority letter given to the property dealer to rent out the apartment. what are my options? I need advice urgently. please oblige.
