Interim maintenance

Hi All,

Please  Confirm,

Is any provision in muslim law for interim maintenance

Dear Querist,

Yes Interim Maintenance can be sought by a Muslim Lady both before and after the divorce, right upto the point of remarriage. Before Marriage in S.125 and later in Dissolution of Muslim Marriage (Rights on Divorce Act), 1986.

There is no Concept of Interim mainteance in Shariah,

However Your Wife may ask for Interim or non Intermi Maintenance under Secular law Like CrpC 125, DV Act if you are married to her.

NO provision of interiem maintanance in sariah law except file case on section 125 of crpc.

Muslim women can claim maintenance under secular laws like DV and 125.
