Sir can admissions to undergraduate programs be made 100% through only interview basis after passing the written test?
A deemed university college has counducted a national level exam and have shortlisted " X " number of candidates based on written test. All the " X" number of candiates has been called for interview and they have slected "Y" number of candidates without taking written test marks into consideration and purely on interview basis. Is this acceptable? They have not even filled all seats saying that other students are not suitable based on their interview alone. They have not revealed the written test marks of candidates at all.
They have not mentioned anywhere the selection criteria and wieghtages of written test and interview before the admission process. Is this not leading to some suspition on the admission process of conducting interviews and only selecting on basis on interview? The interview was just for 10 mins and nothing related to subject was asked in it.
Can anyone help me with some good citatation where the court has not accepted the selections based on just interviews and not considering the written test marks at all for admission into any courses in india. I have heard that interview weightage cannot be more than 15% to 20% of the total selection process. Is this true? This institute is of national repute.
