IPR by G.B. Reddy is a good handbook for gaining basic knowledge on IPR issues and very easy from exam point of view.
For detailed commentatory you can refer Trademarks by P. Narayanan and Copyright by P. Narayanan. Or you can refer Trademarks and other IPR laws authored by Kailasam.
