Is aor necessary to practice in high court?

After getting registered in state Bar council, can one practice in High court of any state? OR it is mandatory to be registered as AOR to practice in high court Putting in other way, Whats the purpose and benefits of AOR? Secondly should one wait to clear AIBE before practising in any courts of India? Will be glad to have expert answer Thanks

AOR (Advocate On Record) is necessary in Supreme court only and as such AOR in high court. you can appear and practice in high court.
