Is RTI act Applicable to Private company

We have received the legal notice from the wife of XXXX an employee of ours. They have asked for the entire employment history and leave data.

Here, Is RTI act Applicable to Private company Employees personal details. Please clarify

KINDLY NOTE THAT AS THE DETAILS ARE OF PERSONAL NATURE OF THAT PARTICULAR EMPLOYEE,YOU MAY DENY THE INFORMATION MENTIONING REASONS. BUT IF COURT SUMMONS IS SENT TO YOU THEN YOU MAY PROVIDE BRIEF DETAILS IN COURT.GOOD LUCK.

RTI Act is applicable on Govt. entities / organisations [ local/state/central] and also on the entities / organisations funded / supported by such Govt. entities / organisations [ local/state/central]. It is not applicable on private companies / bodies unless subsidiary of Govt. company / bodies.
