Is signature change mandatory for wife after marriage

Dear Law Experts,

We have obtained a legal Marriage certificate from Registrar post marriage. My wife recently changed her surname from her maiden name post our wedding. We got our INDIAN passports updated with this change. She got a new passport for her new Surname and my name added in spouse details, similarly I got fresh passport with my Spouse details updated with my wifes new name. We both had INDIAN passports before. As a supporting document while applying for name change in passport, we provided

1. Marriage certificate 2. Identity Affidavit  3. Notarized Name change request affidavit & 4. Newspaper publication (Local & National daily).

However, my wife did not change her signature, while applying for name change. Her signature contains Maiden Initial & Firstname . In my opinion, signature is an identity and as long as its unique its fine and need not necessarily reflect our name.  Please confirm my understanding.

Is it mandatory that her signature to be changed to reflect my Surname ? If yes, what is the process of doing so.?

Appreciate your feedback.
