Is submission of salary details mandatory in custody case

Dear All - in a custody case if the father refuses to divulge his payslips/income (or income tax returns) then is it a problem? Can he show his immovable properties and retirements benefits (EPF & PPF) to prove he has sufficient means and earning much more than the opposite party. Can the court force him to divulge his payslips or IT returns which is very personal thing. In worst case can't he submit a affidavit saying his income is so and so amount. Does it (affidavit) gets verified by court?

Also, If there is any judgement where the father did not submit salary documents and court considered some other parameters(EPF/PPF/Property) deduced his income was sufficient then please share.

Thank you for your response but please note that the custody is filed under section 7 & 25 of GWA act (guardian and wards act). GWA does not it has a maintenance clause. So can court ask father, who is non-custodian parent, to pay because the kids were forcefully taken away from him and there are evidences for it
