Issue in online shopping.

I have made a order in a online shopping site. They told the product will be shipped with in 2 weeks time. But it has not been delivered even after 4 weeks. I asked for refund of my money. So far their customer care didn't respond properly.

How this can be handled legally and taken to the consumer court? Can we file case against this company in any place?

you can file a complaint before consumer forum.

you can file it at the place where from you have placed the order or where your mail was received.

A fit consumer complaint.Under Section 11 (2) (C) of The Consumer Protection Act 1986 : A complaint shall be instituted in a District Forum within the local limits of whose jurisdiction- the cause of action ,wholly or in part , arises.Aconsumer complaint may be filed in the District from where the order on line was placed. Before filing the complaint a notice be placed with the company ,for redressal of your grievance.
