Lay off

dear all 

Request to  give the full details of lay off process

1)     wHAT IS LAY-OFF

2)     NOTICE IS REQD. FOR LESS THAN 50 nos.notice period

3)     If below 100 nos is it notice reqd. if so how many days.

4)     more than 100 nos how many days notice reqd.

5)     In case of long term  what the employer has to do after 45 days,

please do the need full

Dear Sir,

Our plant has situated in Dhenkanal, (Orissa),  We are propose to declare Lay-Off in our plant.

Pl. clarify the following queries.

 

Lay off: 

Permission to be obtained for lay off  for the following 3 categories., 

How many days before,

notice is required or not 

                                                                                                   

1)   for having less than 50 employees.                                

2)   In case of   50 nos  and below  100 nos.employees.

3)   In case of more than 100 nos. employees.

 

The compensation to be paid to which category and how, for how much period.

In case the situations are not come to normal, even after the 45 or 60 days what is the next step to be taken.
