Layout deregistration

Hi,

We had bought a villa from a builder and developer agency, however they havent yet registered under electricity board. As such, we are utilizing temporary connection from Bescom. Since its a temporary arrangement we have to get a permanent connection. When we owners of individual homes approaced bescom, they informed that the place is registered as a Layout and individual connections cannot be provided. The costs towards the same is higher and the developer is not helping us with the same. Is there a way to come out of this layout arrangement so that we can individually get electricity connection.

Show the document/agreement that states the infrastructures offered to purchasers by layout managers to a local advocate, and go for solar energy for the immediate need in case of complications.

File complaint under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019 against the builder/Developer for not complying with the lay- out conditions and providing permanent power connection and other facilities to your villa as per the agreement for sale.

The facts posted are disjointed and incomplete. No definite suggestion is possible unless the documents are examined in the light of the rules and regulations as applicable in your locality.

In response to your query,

As a consumer you can file a complaint under the Consumer Protection Act of 2019, if you believe a service is inadequate. The most important criteria is that the issue falls inside the "definition of service" and that it involves a deficiency as defined by the Consumer Protection Act of 2019.

Any kind of imperfection, or defect in the feature, quality, amount, worth, authenticity, capacity or potential, and standard that is required to be maintained and regulated as per the laws and statutes in function or any agreement/contract claimed by the seller, with respect to the products and goods, is known as deficiency, according to Section 2(11) of the Consumer Protection Act 2019.

Regards,

Aryan Raj
