It being the partition deed, you may not have the original.

Even then your marketable title would not be affected.

As you are in Chennai, you can contact me 9444048547 and I can help you.

How to get Certified Copy of a registered document online

  • Copies of registered documents can be obtained from Sub Registrar Offices or Mee Seva Centers.
  • Duly filled in Application form for certified copy shall be submitted.
  • Details of Registered document Number and Sub Registrar Office shall be mentioned accurately to get correct Certified Copy.
  • Documents registered post 1999 are easy to get since all these are available in digital form.

Some buyer may need original. He may NOT acept certified copy. Therefore, lodge a police complaint of the loss, reister an FIR; wait for the requiste period, get not traceable certificat and submit a copy to Registrar and get a certified copy.

A buyer has to be provided a copy of FIR, Non Traceable Certificate and the certified copy of the partition deed.
