Marrying a non-brahmin girl

Hi,

I want to marry to a non-brahmin girl. But her parents are not accepting saying that they will not give her girl into a brahmin family.

We are planning to get married next week. Please let me know whether her father can take any legal action on me after marriage.

Regards,

Hemanth.

We are ruled with hindu marriage act, According to it if a girl attains the age of 18 years then she have able to take her own decision of her marriage. If she voluntarily agreed to this marriage then her father could not have capacity to go for legal action.1.age of majority is 18 years. 2. voluntarily agreed to the marriage. 3.You should undergo register marriage,Its better and legally safe also.
