@a blank diary of life...............yes, lekin thoda confusion hai..........because many people in this forum tell that, DV is a purely civil case, with only relief built in, only on breach of orders, it becomes criminal............so i dont know if DV can be considered criminal......hope to know more on this.

though, i contains baseless allegations.........

@fighting back, DV is a combination of both Criminal and Civil.

The Act itself pronounced as Violence and the Violence comes under the purview of Criminal Actions. And certain clause falls under Civil suit.

Would suggest to take an expert guidance from TajobsIndia, who will may provide an excellent guidance. I read some post on DV on LCI itself that some portion of DV comes under criminal and some in Civil Suit.
