Mistake in property schedule

HI,

I got a BDA property registereted in my name . In the property schedule, the measurements from east to west and north to south is mentioned in Meters. Whereas the total area is mentioned in Sq Ft instead of Sq Mtrs,  by mistake.

Is this a big mistake and has to be corrected by a rectification deed ?

Regards,

Anil

Thanks prashant for the reply.

I will elaborate more clearly the problem. The property schedule is mentioned in meters say 10 mtrs east to west and 10 mtrs south to north. The total area is mentioned as 100 sq ft instead of 100 sq mtrs.

Does this also require to be corrected through a rectification deed or is this fine since mentioning the total area is optional ( EC document also doesnt have the total area specified. It only has E to W and N to S measurements )

Appreciate your feedback.

U both party is present at sub-registrar office and registration a rectification Deed about mistake. And if stamp duty is pay for that (additional area) then u pay at registrar office.

Note:- Area is high then original sale deed then u pay stamp duty othewise no.
