Mortgage

Is there a provision in law where in one can mortgage his/her undivided share in immovable property.on the basis of family settlement.

You have been posting issues of undivided share in the past, it all depends on the lender.  Such lending is highly risky and only sharks can lend with exorbitant interest and with such muscle power that can dictate their terms with all co-sharers and borrowers.  It is legal.
