Purchased used car on February and signed a sale agreement, I didn't transfer the RC book and I made a accident on 1st May and insurance was expired at the time of accident. Two guys was injured and now they filed a case in court for claim.

After all, I transferred RC book name in July, here my question is

1) Is the sales agreement is valid?
2) since no insurance in car who is responsible for claim
3) currently RC book in on my name is there any problem?
4) yesterday day I received a summan from court I didn't receive it?

Plz advise me

  1.  Yes Agreement is legal.
  2. No insurance then you will pay the compensation from your pocket.
  3. You are owner of the car, you were involve in the accident, FIR is against you, court proceeding already started. isn't it seem like a problem to you?
  4. Any good reason for not receiving the same, altimately, now or later you have to receive / face the court procedings.

Engage a good lawyer and face the trial with good defence so you can limit your liability.....
