N.I. Act Notice period

When a client deposite the cheque in the bank Opp. bank return cheque on 01/08/2009. Our client bank inform our client on 15/08/2009. what is the last date of notice plz repky with judgment or refrence.

clearly when yr bank gives u information of cheque bouncing with return dt cheque to u,with memo.

then d period of 30 days of notice will start.

Time Period for issuance of Legal Notice is Thirty (30) days from date of intimation of Dishonor of Cheque by ur bank.

In this case the last date of filing would be 14th Sep. But there seems to be some error here. Your client cannot receive an intimation on 15/08 since its a national holiday. Hence confirm the date

Good Morning,

You have to issue the notice within 30 days ftom the date of receipt of the cheque by the bank unpaid.  You have received the cheque on 15/8/09, so u wl have to issue the notice within 14/9/09
