Dear Queriest,

Daughters who are married prior to the year 1987 are not entitled to share in the property.

The property belonging to great grandfather which feel on the grandfather was sold by him taking the consent of his two sons.  In my opinion, there was no need of taking the consent or permission of his two sons to sell that property because it became his absolute property owing  to the inheritance of the same from his father.  Thus on  that basis the daughter also cannot claim a share in the property, even if  she files a suit seeking a  share, the same will not be maintainable.
