Kumar Doab (FIN)     21 October 2011

Geeta, you have really moved us today and made our day with your posts. Please accept our heartfelt thanks and appreciation.

Our soldier deserves salute and best in the world. Be it Sikkim, Kashmir, it is them who lay down their lives to save lives and defend us.

This post has reminded the period of NEFA war when army fought in sub zero temperature with heavy rifles on their shoulders and cloth fleet on their feet. There were no mobiles, phones, and letter hardly reached. Kargil is another latest reference. A surgical operation within the enemy territory was the best option but the armchair politicians and beurocrats and leaders decided otherwise and offered our soldiers as sacrifice goats. It is said battalions were wiped out.

Those whose near and dear ones were fighting for the country would know how the army and their families felt better than anyone else.

The politicians and beurocrats decide their payouts/perks, ammunition, do not fight, and have no field experience. In Israel it must to serve a term in army, their Mossad is best and most effective in the world. Our own men turn to them to seek leads on what is happening in our territory. US shall move in anywhere in the world to hunt and kill the enemy. There should be a referendum for providing the very best to our soldiers.

Geeta,

It is a wonderful example of selfless service by dedicated and committed individuals.  Hopefully everyone should learn a less form this.  Armed forces all their credits;  they should be given salary raises and other privileges, instead of increasing the allowances for our corrupt MLAs and MPs.

Great work!
