a piece of land made "dan patra" in my name by my brother, then it was registered in my name. but mutation has not yet done.
can i claim the ownership legally of the land.
please advice me.
You may approach the Municipal Authorities, with a copy of the registered document in your favour, duly applying through the appropriate application form and paying the required fee. After due verification, Municipal Authorities shall mutate the property in your name and henceforth the tax demand/receipts shall be coming in your name.
