Annexure 1
Relevant Tamilnadu Registration Rules, 1949 framed under sec.69 of the Registration Act, 1908
Following sections 88(2) and 69(gg), IGR, Madras State, made the following rules in 1949:
Rule 11(i): A file book shall be maintained in each Registration office corresponding with Book1. In this shall be filed
(d) returns of lands acquired under the Land Acquisition Act
Rule 21(ii) :A document referred to in sec.88(2) may be presented through a messenger with a covering letter signed by the Government Officer or other person concerned referred to in sec.(1) of the Act.
Rule 21(iii) A document shall not be accepted if transmitted by post.
